I think we should:
a) See Harry today at 5.
b) See Vin (er, Riddick) tomorrow at whatever matinee. Choices follow:
Saturday, Jun. 12: 12:45 1:55 4:20 4:50 7:00 7:35 9:50 10:15

Speaking of Riddick, Mac had an interesting theory that he's the same character from Pitch Black. Anyone know the backstory on these? Could it be he's the serial killer hero who gathered special powers from the monsters in PB?

Riddick is indeed the same character from Pitch Black.
He never gained any special powers. He was imprisoned on a mining colony underground and basically had his retinas polished out to make them ultra-sensitive. So he can see in the dark like a cat, but is sensitive to light, hence the goggle thing.
This is the sequel to Pitch Black. The girl in the trailers is the little girl he saved all grow'd up.
They re-edited the movie right before release because apparently American audiences can't grasp things like deep plot.
Why do I know all this? I have this nagging knack for movie info and trivia. Anyway, that's your primer. Have fun.
