Huh, here's what a weekend of dancing and stuff can do for you after months of exercising and trying to eat right ([livejournal.com profile] stroppy_baggage, [livejournal.com profile] prncsmoonbeam, and [livejournal.com profile] weaselmom, you won't believe it but I've given up chocolate): I checked my weight this morning and it's now officially about 20 lbs. lighter than my heaviest from last winter: 186. Wow. I didn't realize I had that much to lose - especially because I feel I have another 10 lbs. or so to go, dammit - but it sure feels good to be getting fit. Special thanks to [livejournal.com profile] chernobylred and [livejournal.com profile] worldforger for encouraging the effort and leading by example!

Way to go! I can kinda-sorta believe you gave up chocolate* because you have talked about the active interest you are taking in your health. I bet you look terrific in The Pants (and I offer that up purely in a sisterly-congratulatory way, of course). You're a great inspiration!

*Now I guess it's a good thing you never got that "Sweets Keep Me Up" tattoo.

Weeeeee!

I'll likely be wearing them thangs more soon, so we'll see (I like how they keep the legs warm when riding two-wheelers in the winter). The students seem to get a kick out of it, with responses ranging from, "Are you a rock star now?" (hardee har har) to glances at ze buttocks region, which I must say is a bit uncomfortable depending on what expressions follow said glances.

Glad to be an inspiration! It was tough getting started, but got easier as I made new habits, I guess.

Hugs!
Chris
